Good to see Jim Hickey back on the TV One weather.
If you can pass through Jim's funny-ness, i think he is NZ's only weahter weather presenter.

Augie Auer was excellent but I reckon TV 3 got rid of him as he was a 'boring old fart', better to have someone with TQM-ed hands and female.
It's ashame that TV One hasn't had the early morning guy, I don't know his name, on the 6:50pm weather slot.
I did put my name down for a weather presenter for TV One but having to be based in Auckland didn't interest me.
Brian Hamilton or Ken Ring or even Bob McDavitt would of made a good weather presenter on TV

On TV they seem to have someone presenting that can say Arrrotorua Kaikorda and Temadu and dance across the screen and go "the key thing on the map is..." and whammo comes the rain with the wind beefed up with bandits across western districts.. ;)

Many years ago thety used to have Meteorological service forecasters
from kelburn on the late news, presenting the weather. But frankly, it was
a bit like watching Shreik.

I think looks is very important for Television.
