November summary

Here's the NIWA preliminary report:

http://www.niwa.cri.nz/__data/assets/pd ... 711sum.pdf

Note that as poster "Nev" on an Australian site points out, the Wellington sunshine figure needs to be amended to 260 hrs (highest since 1974, 3rd highest on record), so that it was the sunniest main centre, not Christchurch.

The effect of extra sunshine and low rainfall in many parts must be very obvious - it certainly is here.

This resulted in more frequent dry southerly quarter winds than usual over New Zealand.
But there were few SE or Southerlies.
