Pfft! Ponsonby Rd Cafe! What an amateur! Nothing beats a chipped enamel cup full of luke-warm thermos tea down by the shearing shed...

PETROL?! HAH! Diesel, man, diesel! Only townies use petrol! Oh, no, wait...everybody in Auckland drives a Diesel 4x4 with winch, bars, spotties and snorkel now...

Gary , you're well informed for a kid from the Bush.
It's a warm muggy day along Ponsonby Road with some Towering Cu and Cb around. Time for another Latte.

Ah yes the Remuera Taxi, which has the following attributes:-

1) off road tyres for use on road (what???)

2) Not an ounce of mud, or any other form of debris, to be found on the vehicle. You can infact conduct complex neuro-surgery in the wheel arches of these vehicles because of the "sterile environment"

3) A ladder on the back for............well, what is it for?

4) A spare tyre that has never been removed from the back door. Of course in a situation where the driver had a flat tyre, they would always call the AA because its a "Breakdown" Ha!

5) After market sunglass racks mounted on the dash for the Bolles etc

6) A Fusion or Sony Audio sticker indicating the sheer size of the in car entertainment that the owner stupidly invested $50K into, but for what!!

7) Copies of the crash reports for their vehicle tucked neatly under the seat. Ignorance is bliss eh!

Any other attributes that people can think of?

Any way, shes a hot sticky day in central Auckland. Some nice buildups etc etc. Any one know the chance of a bit of electrical activity today??

Heh! You forgot to mention the snorkel (to combat Auckland City's poor drainage?) and the winch (for when they buy two cases of wine instead of just one).

The ratio of 2WD to 4WD is far higher in the average "country" town in NZ than in Auckland. Bizarre, and just another source of everlasting amusement for non-Aucklanders... :P
