Remembering back...

Unread post by Michael »

Can remember, yes I do have a good memory ,moving here from Wanganui in the mid 1980's How dreary it was up here,ie 1988 it seemed to rain every day from May and the following year it was showers yet it was dry down there at the time.1990 it rained and blew all winter.1991 was cold and wet,1992 overcast all the time,1993 wet and windy especially May and June though July fared better,1994 started dry but Rained all the second 1/2 till November.1995 unbelievably wet, same as 1996,it felt colder, probably 1998 and 1999 were the better of wimters and springs, and of course the 2000's wet though 2007 probably was the best of those winters.Yes I see with my rose tinted lenses, they did get cold winters down south and westerly periods but it wasnt such a shock as what I came to here.

Its cold when its wet and windy ie a 10c day with no wind and sunshine is far better/warmer than 16° with Rain and Gales.
