Looked quite black from here towards ChCh around noon. Nothing here.

Frequent showers on outer Banks Peninsula from about midmorning A heavy one as I write, but no thunder or hail, nor snow on the tops. (about 10C - still too warm)

Looks like a lot of heavy showers rolling down the coast from here ,the cloud that does come on shore is tending to flatten out now,Had a nice rainbow before on the South East. :|

Really nice looking front came over about 1pm(ish), heavy rain for a short period, sparatic hail, only small stuff. Bit of Cu over the port hills after the front, scrappy bases though. Nice anyway after spending last night going through old video footage/photos/charts etc from past Canterbury Thunderstorms! Got the blood boiling! :D

Some very small hail with latest showers. Southerly wind fresh to strong & gusty.

yeh nice pcs John i am really surprised that didnt turn out to be a thunderstorm it had the look totally on it!
