I want warmer temps, and shorter skirts on the ladies.

I talked to a friend about the exact same subject on the weekend hahaha. Remember spring isn't instant as soon as it hits September, remember snow in September.. '06?

And just move to Australia if you want shorter skirts and warmer temperatures

I'm not sure if it was '05 or '06.. But I'm off to SE QLD next year so I'll enjoy the benefit. And the snow was around the 15th wasnt it?

Sunny and a warm 15 degrees in in christchurch.
Dunedin on 21 with a station reporting 24 degrees at one place.

Yes. I was able to pick up the gorse from the recently trimmed front gorse hedge that surrounds this place.

Also got the ride-on mower going (surprised it started) and tidied the front berm before the belt came off ...bugger

Lots of daffodils and primulas.
Planted 3 trees and shrubs by the house today $\:D/$

Yes. it will be a sad day for Dunedin if the Chocolate factory closes down

I wouldn't be surprised judging by today's economic downturns

They've been laying an occasional few people off for a little while now.

I understand they aren't closing it down completely. They are doing a major revamp/upgrade into a specialist plant concentrating on assortments and box chocolates. I understand the reported job loss's are about 150 from 700 staff.

Yes I know its completely off subject.
But the permanants total just over 300 so in actuality the total numbers to go equate to 50%.
Plus the fact that the seasonal requirements will reduce signifcantly.
It was a masterfully worded piece of journalism.

However its currently 12.4deg at the moment and no form of heating was rqd last night.

Hmm, well as you know I have a friend who already got laid off from there...

Beaut night here last night. Still cool enough to sleep easily. Down to approx 8Â°C overnight and warmed up to 12.3Â°C already. Bliss now the noisy neighbours are gone and I can sleep with the window open again.
