Forgot to mention slight risk of Thunder tomorrow night mainly south of Christchurch, but could be interesting to watch out for.
Storm chances usually increase about this time of the year, getting closer to show week :smile: .

A Thornbury farmer had a quick lesson in when not to light fires yesterday after a burn-off on his property threatened to ignite a nearby pine plantation. Wallacetown volunteer firefighters were called to the scrub fire, on the Thornbury-Waimatuku Rd farm, about 10.30am after gale force winds drove embers towards the plantation less than 20m away. Deputy chief fire officer Tony Carmichael said it was not the brightest idea to have lit a fire yesterday ...

Thanks for your Storm report/photo's Tornado Tim.
Probably a converging Southerly/SouthWesterly that helped generate those Storms on Sunday.
