Rather than me clogging up this forum I have put another page up on my website with the current conditions in Matangi, Hamilton.
Mainly to do with T-storms as it is most probable that you will get 1 if you in the Western Waikato Area.

I see Raglan webcam showing sunny conditions with temp 25C but wind NNE 06km/h. Hoping to see a sea breeze or SW kick in there this afternoon.

Has anyone noticed the Severe Weather Warning posted by Metservice? (Didn't see it mentioned)

This watch affects people in the following weather forecast districts:
Waikato, Waitomo, Taumarunui, Taranaki,

Isolated severe thunderstorms are likely about western parts of Waikato,
Waitomo, Taumaranui and inland Taranaki this afternoon and early evening. These
thunderstorms are expected to be slow moving and could result in locally heavy
downpours of 25 to 40mm per hour. Rainfall of this intensity can cause surface
and/or flash flooding, especially about low-lying areas such as streams, rivers
or narrow valleys, and may also lead to slips. Reasonably large hail to about
20mm in diameter is also likely in these areas, which could cause damage to
crops and orchards, and possibly glasshouses and vehicles. Driving conditions
are likely to be hazardous during these thunderstorms.
Issued by: Andy Downs
This watch will be updated by: 09:00 pm Friday 28 November 2008

Hi Matty, there are no 'Severe Weather Warnings' out - that's actually a real-time 'Thunderstorm Watch'.
However, their 9:28am 'Severe-Convection/Thunderstorm-Outlook' does mention Northland and areas from south Auckland down through Waikato, Waitomo, Taumarunui and Taranaki.
So hats-off to MetService. _b
(pleased nobody has mentioned 'lightning-radars' today though ;) )

Lookng like the upper trough moves away today and the medium term outlook looks stable out to the end of next week. A lot of settled warmer weather on the way with temperatures likely to be above average.

It's the only wind it will go, the NWer wont hit inland areas until tomorrow then further east overnight.
So temperatures may well get into the early 30's in some areas next week, a perfect start to summer with not much on the storm front sadly.
Glad the internet is up again after being down for about 14 hours to several thousand customers since 9pm last night, its good though pulls people back on the use of our technology everyday.
Cheers
Jason.
