Regional council rainfall telemetry websites list

Unread post by igaquo1 »

I think we should prepare a sticky list of regional council websites that contain live rainfall data. Here are two for starters:

Environment Bay of Plenty
http://www.envbop.govt.nz/MonitoredSite ... tchment=21
This one is easy to use, with graphs and summary page.

Auckland Regional Council
http://maps.arc.govt.nz/website/maps/map_hydrotel.htm
This one is difficult and slow to use in my opinion. Works on IE but not Flock/Firefox. You need to allow pop-ups. On the top menu in the middle there is a "lightning bolt" symbol. Click on that, then click on any RED box for rainfall data. A pop-up will contain the data. No summary page available.

This lists them all, albeit a bit outdated.
