Quite usual for some species of trees:

and if used as hedging,
https://www.instanthedge.com/european-beech-hedge/European Beech's foliage turns bronze in fall and clings to the branches through winter, providing year-round screening and privacy.

Thanks, you learn something every day. That tree probably has done that every year but I never noticed before.Orion wrote: ↑Thu 22/07/2021 08:55Quite usual for some species of trees:

Re: Picture(s) of the day
Another photo of 2 contrails crossing each other observed from Geraldine late this morning around noon.
Interesting to see what levels the aircraft were? The crossing was about 10 minutes between each other.

Re: Picture(s) of the day
Here's a photo I took of the blue dome skies this morning before cloud moved over late morning.
If you look carefully at the right hand side you can see a bit of a contrail from an aeroplane flying south.
