Iridescence Lenticularis cloud 16 Sept over Geraldine.
This cloud remained stationary just to the west of the town for much of the latter part of the afternoon before gradually fading away.

Here's a photo I took of the Emersons Steam truck and a steam roller parked outside of the Criterion Hotel in Oamaru on Sunday.
We were there Morris dancing for the annual Victorian Festival event in the historical area of the town,

I had a discussion with a woman only just recently about Southern Alps, it has been said that they run from the tip D'Urville Island to the bottom of Fiordland, the backbone of the SI.

You see them quite often here in South Canterbury in alternating flows between west and south in changing atmospheres at the middle level.

A photo I took today whilst driving along Trevors road towards Ashburton.
I noticed that Mt. Hutt has opened with it's new ski chair becoming operational.
