wow, Ricky's DP suddenly dropped away with the SSE wind change auckland got
we dropped to 3.5DP here at 3pm, but it has since come up from that low, with still a S wind (slight off the tasman)

even in the winter cold we dont get much below 3DP in auckland every often!

I think your station recordings are good readings...seems to be reflected every where else.
My station recorded 32%.
And already the temp is dropping by -5.3°C/hour. You can already feel the nip in the air..

Temperature has flattened out at 13°C here for a while even with clear skies and not much wind, not sure why maybe it's gonna drop quick again soon...humidity still a rather low 56%

we dropped to 0.1 DP just before midnight .....not seen a DP that low here before (except maybe in a severe frost)
then the southerly wind got up again, and DP came up, now 6DP, and 11 temperature

I see Horsham Downs has dropped to 2.1°C.

Got down to a cool 7.9°C here (humidity for the night has only peaked at around 84% though) - sure feels cold when the previous coldest nights for the year were only 11°C.

Perhaps a bit cooler tonight as well since the breeze will be more southerly?

FIRST frost of the year this morning.
There was frosting on the decking which made it slippery.
Only a ground frost as the air temperature was much higher.

Frost/Ice on the car window this morning! Had to get the water out as the wipers wouldnt budge!

Auckland was 16/10

More humid than last night, but the winds here are very light, it's clear and we should be in for a coldish one.
The TAF is going for fog at Christchurch, so less chance of frost down there tonight.

Loving these cooler nights, makes for great sleeps.

Was apparently 26°C with about 95% humidity in Sydney at about 2am a few days ago... Yuk.

Yeah it did get colder than I expected too, DP was around 10C yesterday evening but the temperature has dropped to 7.7C just after 7am.
