Well the whole day turned out be a Flop didnt it?

they look very familiar Tim. I just watched that exact cloud pass nearly right over me. was boiling away as it went past.

The GFS has been advertising some instability for northern NZ for a few days now but with progressive runs the instability has got weaker.

2 x rather nice looking distinct CB's to the south of AKL around 4pm.. pic below taken about 4:15pm when the Metar was showing SHRAGS which was rather nice to see.
