-3.1 air temp at 6:21am this morning, blue dome day here.
I am hoping we don't get the northeasterly today, as it is cold when blows from there and it spoils a nice sunny day.

You dont get that in Alexandra do you Andy? currently the typical land breeze for morning here Westerly.
NE will kick in later though unfortunatly, remember the NE wind can be good at times during spring/summer months especailly when a cold Southerly is coming up THUNDERSTORMS .
But yes a return of the frosts feels like we are repeating July again, after the warmer than normal August.

Yeah exact same low here so slightly higher for me than yesterday, cars/deck/roofs had some frost but it was hard to find even a trace of ice on the lawn.Nev wrote:1.8°C here at 6:55am this morn, no wind and one iced-up car.

Re: Report your Frost, or (how low did you go 2009)
I see Whenuapai Aero managed -0.4°C this morn, while Akld Aero only got to 2.6°C. Kumeu to the NW however managed -1.5°C, contrasting with a relatively warm 6.8°C at Whangaparaoa and Khyber Pass.
Around 16°C here atm - not a cloud in sight - might get to 17°C today?

4.6°C here at 6:05 this morn (4.0°C yesterday) with light fog, clearing now.
Akld Aero only down to 6°C (must be foggier there?), while 2°C at Whenuapai Aero.
Third consecutive morn with fog at Chch Aero?

Re: Report your Frost, or (how low did you go 2009)
It is most interesting to note we have had frosts here pretty much every morning this week, and on each occasion the metservice has predicted lows of around 5 degrees.
How come they are so cosnsistently out of kilter at the moment?
