Re: Whats the opposite of a weather bomb?
I hope everyone realises a weather bomb is not when the pressure falls at least 24hPa within 24hrs in any 1 location....but rather a weather bomb is a low pressure system whose central pressure falls at least 24hPa within 24hrsRazor wrote:of note we've dropped about 21hPa in ChCh today.....

A bomb explodes so it must be something imploding.(Another opposite could be a low filling)

A black hole!
They say some storm(s) systems may contain enough energy akin to a nuclear explosion.. the opposite would be the above!
Imagine that in a Supercell.. the invisible one that tears your house apart.
Perhaps I should call it a night

Re: Whats the opposite of a weather bomb?
I think we had one today or early this morning as the barometer pressure really shot up once the SW came through and the ridge pushed in.
