Re: General August Weather
I finally got around to adjusting the offset for the lightning detector. So now it should be more in line with the Kerikeri and Auckland one. Correlation should work better now too. Next on the list is to get the latest update for the software. Sounds like quite a good update and ill try get that done next weekend.

Re: General August Weather
it would be good if that Tokoroa station had nexstorm and then added strike start and the time sync needed
then the correlations between all the stations (mine is not going to strike star at the moment) would be great!

Yes, we've also had gale winds in the Gulf for most of day and last night. Mean-winds at Cape Reinga have been up around 90 km/h. Looks threatening but no rain here though - DP's too low.

Re: General August Weather
What started out as a pleasant day here yesterday turned to an afternoon of drizzle/light rain from 11:30am and persisted for most of the afternoon - 3.5mm plus another 1mm this morn. I see Ricky (Grey Lynn) only managed 0.2mm yesterday.

Re: General August Weather
Still 14.2° here this evening, though the max was only 15.0°. Just over 17mm of rain here today.
I think we may see temps in the high teens tomorrow as the breeze turns NW, especially if the sun comes out...

24mm here since early yesterday morn, Coromandel Ranges up around 170mm, Ohaeawai (near Kaikohe) 77.5mm and Alan's Kerikeri site total of over 52mm.
Didn't get below 13°C here last night and it looks like most of the North Island remained in double digits this morn.
