All indications on the Arthur's Pass Wx stn show that it's snowing there now.

might not have to wait long ;) if it were to snow here i'd stay up waiting too, but it's more up north and plus going to chch today... Hope to see some pics if there's enough.

*sigh* Only got two more logs indoors for fire and not going out in PJ's so I may last another hour lol no sign of any snow yet, or even sleet... very cold though...

In that case it really shouldn't be long, especially as I'm at 300m

EDIT: Where did you find info on sleet in Ashburton :?:

Looks like Hanmer Springs has had a good fall overnight, if it keeps snowing there today could get to quite a depth. Where is our Christchurch snow tho :(

its not forecasted to get down to sea level,but you could get some sleet at times?

Snowing in Darfield and starting to settle although ground is very wet from overnight rain. Been snowing since got up 1/2 hour ago. Very steady snow, no start/stop or on/off stuff either. \:D/
