Re: Labour Weekend Weather
That big band of rain doesn't seem to have moved much between 4pm and 5pm, is it stationary? They must be getting quite a bit of rain further south underneath it.

Re: Labour Weekend Weather
Weetbicks - according to M/S map, there is an occluded front (stalled, basically) and so won't be moving very fast...potential to get some decent falls out of it, for sure!

Re: Labour Weekend Weather
Yes, it hasnt moved to far north but it has continued to intensify. I think it will track a bit quicker north once the bulk gets into the Canterbury Plains. Hopefully some heavy falls for the city tonight would be nice Would be short lived however.Weetbicks wrote:That big band of rain doesn't seem to have moved much between 4pm and 5pm, is it stationary? 6pm radar shows the band has moved wll into mid and part of North Canterbury and should see some decent rain for city from now on.

Only 16mm here since 5pm yesterday, must have been abit more sheltered from the majority of the rain here.
Totaling up to 66mm so far this month.
