We've got the stratocumulus over Auckland this morning, hopefully not too much of this in the coming weeks.

Wont think a lot will happen over the next few days apart from showers mostly in the west between cells of anticyclones.

Unfortunately no end to this pattern, the roof here should soon look like a thatched roof not even westerlies to blow it all off, mild at night is the only good side.

That looks like the text book thunder set up over east Otago tomorrow pm with 500mb -28C from 00Z.

You get the impression looking at the long range charts that we'll end up with another cooler than average month, but nothing like Octobers departure from norm.

A bit on the humid side with the 13-14C dewpoints, makes 20C feel stuffy.

I see there is a thunderstorm on the front about 200km west of Auckland heading east. I doubt it will have the legs to make it here though. The air mass is very moist and looks to be elevated convection firing on the front.

I hope you had a surge protector on the power board......

The way its going looking at the ECMWF thingy it looks as were going to follow a similar path to October unfortunately S-SW flows and it opens the door to disturbances to the south.

Fireworks are a pain too,wet cats clambering over escaping the noise,2 more weeks of it,perhaps if it rained at night for that period.....
