I would say go for it... great idea... however, importantly - check with Foggy, Nev, John & Tony T... they may add some thoughts later.Weetbicks wrote:Amazing photos guys, you should be very proud of them, some good keepers for sure.
I was thinking, would anyone be interested in starting something like an NZ weather forum Flickr gallery? We can maintain it with album for these types of events and it just means it becomes easy for anyone to upload all of their photos to the gallery, and we can keep a history of all the photos.
Would anyone be interested if I set one up ?

Re: Convective period, NI, 25-28th January
I'm going to post pics and links to my clips sometime today, uploading speed is very very slow. Can't upload my clips to youtube - left it for 6.5hrs and upload didn't complete, retried for another 4 hours and also wouldn't complete.
So sorry guys...if you want to see the clips I'll link to them and you'll have to download them to your computer to watch...

The initial cloud bases will be quite high like the other 2 days and drop a bit lower once some precip starts to fall.

yup, towers along the ranges around here are just getting big enough to start dropping rain. much earlyer and different to what we have seen the last two days. more like what we saw the first day.
