Nice Cu congestus going up in TC but you can see the southerly undercutting it, sadly.
Towers now bending from the west. Some sfericals as well

CU congestus towering away nicly so a stronger SW change must be coming up after the weaker one before.
Wind is now NE and 21C currently after a 27C high, although the gusty westerly this morning kept the temperature at 24C until it dropped off then the temperature went up abit.
I will keep an eye out, i must say its good to see a late summer with the last 4 days all over 25C.

Thanks Paul, I just couldn't resist. i just had to say that
Southerly went through here at 6pm with quite a dramatic sky. Lots of Cu forms and other unstable cloud forms. Cooling down now.
Some rather large drops too.
Winds between south and East too with the associated fractus moving across like 'strips of steaky bacon' from the SE. Can't see towards TC now.

Re: T-Storms, East Coast Si. - Feb 25th
I just seen that too luke, its also abit of rain coming down in that area shafting down from the CU.
Most of the showery activity looks more inland at the moment, and from what i can gather its just turned light SW.
Edit: Few spots of rain here now some large drops.
Have you got your eggs in one basket there john? for thunder to come with that streaky bacon

Re: T-Storms, East Coast Si. - Feb 25th
Cb's around Oamaru during this afternoon.Found a heavy shower at Kakanui at 2.30pm and was at Herbert at 3pm when I heard a clap of thunder. No more than the odd spot of rain in Oamaru at 5pm but at dusk can see large Cb to north. We badly need rain here getting very dry

Re: T-Storms, East Coast Si. - Feb 25th
Probably the film was left in the light so all we see is a big black cloud, anyway the chemist wont develop those, well they recommended not to in those days.....
