Light frost here this morning. Temperature dipped to zero in the screen but there was ice on the truck's windscreen and frosting on the decking.

I see it's quite balmy in Wanaka at about 8C, while Dunedin Aero's on around -3C.
Also around -3C at Taumarunui and -5C at Waiouru in the north.

Light frost here in Tawa this morning, frost on the roofs before the sun came up. I can't tell you the temperature because my weather station is broken, will have to fix it today.

Re: Frost reports for 2010
It would have got colder here if the wind fully died down, there were periodic gusts of around 2 km/hr which in turn made the temp go up a bit.

Re: Frost reports for 2010
Nice and clear and sunny this morning here at my site in West Melton. Makes a change after the past week of lots of 'clag' as I call it, with persistent cloud cover, although judging by next weeks weather, any sunshine wont last for long.
Anyway a slight frost recorded this morning, with the thermometer dipping to minus 0.3C in the screen.

-2 this morning. Thick fog now with a patches of dull sun, looks to be high cloud rolling in so will keep the temp on the cool side for the rest of ther day.

Re: Frost reports for 2010
Thats about our low for the month. It is extremely unusual for Auckland to get 3C in May. The airport has only dropped that low in May twice in the last 20years (had a quick check back).Whats our lowest so far this year?? 6-7c?
