The passage of a Front/ cold upper air brings the risk of isolated Thunderstorms to parts of the NorthIsland today.
There is a Thundery Cb over the Taranaki area currently.

i cant really see much chance for us today. but i will limit my drinking today just incase there is a chase. Tim and i are on standby just in case something does pop up. the front moving up past taranaki over the sea looks good on radar. just hope we can get warm enough ahead of it when it reaches here or else it is only going to die as it moves over the land.

According to the MS its looking good for us in Tauranga through to Northern Coromandel Pen. on the eastern side of the range.

Fingers crossed but its only 18 deg C outside so needs a whole heap of sun before this arvo.

You have got to laugh, the front died, hahahahaha!
Very lethargic looking Cb's to the north, they look like the ones you see in winter when they are cold and fibrous topped.

I see there has been a brief thunderstorm in the BOP.
Remains super dry here.

One of those days that showed some potential but nothing happened. LOL. I find March fairly awful for weather watching unless there is some tropical moisture.

Eastern parts of Northland look like they may catch a heavy shower tonight, a line of heavy showers has formed near the east coast.
