I do believe I heard a clap of thunder a few minutes ago. I jinxed the day today. I put the camera & tripod in the car. Sigh.

And the southerly has just thumped the place with force..
I did see a nice funnel dancing toward the Drury area just after the line crossed me.

I see Te Kuiti had a quick 32mm this afternoon. Looks like the strongest thunderstorms were south of Hamilton due to the upper air being a bit colder down there.
I am ready for the winter storm season now. Atleast Auckland catches the winter stuff. LOL

showers are propagating back, so still getting rain off and on, which is good..and just got heavier...
as this morning I thought it was all over for us here..but that front that moved up from the south has given this system a sting in the tail now
temperature drop too with this clearing front...barometer rising fast too
yes, was good to see some action weather around here for a change!
