Yes. I have the fire on since 6pm too.
Now down to 5.7C. Should be a frost tonight. Clear sky and high barometer.
Shame the aurora australis display wasn't tonight instead of last night.

Re: General April Weather
I think a frost may be on the cards for the Waikato. 64% RH here and is seems like it is dropping. 13°C atm when the wind drops the temp could drop quite rapidly.

All fires smoke even new ones , i would think they may have just got it goingLukemyster wrote:Yes yes i know that... and why would a new fireplace be puffing out tones of smoke? and i even checked their fireplace on ecan and its not registerd meaning its older than 15years. http://tools.ecan.govt.nz/WoodburnerAge/ im living in a house about 40years old, with only some insulation. Havnt used heater/fireplace since about july. Cold is good!
I see M/S has chch at 3.5C now so it will be much colder than the forcast low of 3C tonight.

Hmm, Wednesday, the day we will get busy again at work setting up the school dental stuff for the new term. Yep, I could see Murphy getting me and it firing up quite well that day.

Re: General April Weather
If there is one that can, I like the look of that setup. My theory is Murphy will get me as it's unlikely I'll be able to go chasing anything on that particular day. A week earlier and I would have had a crack at it. It's been a lean season here this year, payback for the good ones we got the season a year ago I guess.

Re: General April Weather
Yep. How do you think Mid-Cantabrians got through 2 weeks without power? Cole ranges and open fires. I'm glad I've got my gas heater and BBQ for backup!03Stormchaser wrote:I cant wait for a decent snowfall and the power to be out for a couple of days and everyone's heat pumps not to work and then I can say i told you so!

Re: General April Weather
Wooo! Walking into my bedroom felt like walking into a desert. The afternoon sun heated it up to 28degrees. Heaps cooler outside. Probably won't last that long. Looking like another freezer overnight.
