Overnight Range here was 14 down to 12.6 (DP 12.3) here so pretty close to what GFS was showing..

Foretasted to get down to -1 last night, got down to -4.

Met Service are saying a low of 5C for Auckland overnight but that looks too low.

Met Service are saying a low of 5C for Auckland overnight but that looks too low.

Temperature 9C at 7am for both Grey Lynn and Airport. Clear skies.

Low was 8C. Gfs was forecasting a low of 8C.

yeah, with a DP that was around 10C, not sure how it would drop to 5C for temperature, unless they were expecting a drier and colder airmass to have moved in?
10.9 C here at 7:30am, 9.2 was as cold as it got

Why is it we have more condensation today when on colder days we get less,is it the dew points? ie closer to the real temperature.

I know what you mean, condensation is bad this morning with puddles on the windowsills >_<

No its not cold at all,have wiped them now,I dont think had any days in august last year,i say this august will be pretty much a continuation of this,quite mild in the north.

it will be due to the relatively high dew point this morning

double glazing stops condensation :)

Metservice were 9C of todays high for Christchurch. One of the bigger mistakes from the Metservice. Although you can't really blame them there considering if that Norwesterly pushed through and the clouds cleared earlier 25 degrees was quite possible.

hanks thought i wasnt seeing things,usually obtained from history or here as I went in it often,anyhow the co.nz domain now redirects to the com site. ;-)
