Help with my weather station please

Unread post by joannam »

 Hi there, im new to these forums..just wondering if you can help me out.
I just brought a Digitech weather station model XC 0346 my husband installed it yesterday, we had no rain at all overnight, however this morning it is claiming we had 7.5mm.
So any ideas of what could be wrong? Faulty unit? Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks Jo

Make sure the guage is as level as you can get it. Also was it windy last night as this can sometimes cause the tipper to tip. :-)

Yup, best to make sure that it is level and can't move in wind, also check if there is any local Hams in the area with strong transmitters....

Thanks guys, yep it was very windy. So we have made sure it is'nt vibrating/shaking in any way and it seems to have done the trick.
