There is lightning activity in the cell drifting south of Auckland Airport at present.

Got caught in a very heavy shower a few streets away from home - then got home and saw only 0.2mm fell here! Very localised. Eastern Beach was more in the firing line and the PWS there recorded 3mm.

Had hail albeit brief,about pea size,no bigger lasted 20 seconds.

Rain is a bit pathetic, very light and intermittent and only 3.6mm so far...

Had bouts of heavy rain at EastEnd this morning. Clearing up a bit now but looks like more on the way later.
