Owwh, Yay! =D>

I love the southwest, hopefully it will be roaring a gale at yours........

It wont have time for the pollen to settle which is good.

Rain has been falling here in Wesport since the early hours of the morning. Starting to get heavier in the past 30 mins or so. I think somewhere between 10am and 2pm should see some quite heavy falls. Nothing unusual for this part of the country though. Although, the front lawn at the place im staying at is collecting surface water already which surprises me as 1) it has been drier on average for winter here (one of the few places) and ofcourse these places dont get the clag that we get in CHCH so drying out is more easier. Rain rate up to 12mm/h currently now so will report if this sustains for a decent period of time.

Forecast high of 19 today was way off - only got to about 15C this afternoon.
The day was colder than the night in fact!

Latest model guidance is for the bulk of the rain to miss Auckland.
