Having a very good run of weather with another stunning day.
Looks like the month with finish with east/northeast flow over NZ, damp and cool/rather cold for eastern parts of NZ from friday.

Another warm sunny day reached 21.2C here, fairly steady temps this afternoon (SSW was replaced by E-NE sea breeze at midday)

We, according to the Davis station, reached 22.9C @ 1428, dunno, feels pretty warm however the Tauranga airport always seems to be between 2-3C lower than me during the hottest part of the day....

Looking at the hourly metars from the 3 Auckland airfileds, Ardmore got to 23C, Whenuapai 22C and Auckland Airport just 20C. Auckland airport catches the sea breeze being coastal.

A weak convergence line has developed just to the east of me producing some virga.

Of note, it looks very smoggy like, east over the Kaimais it seems. Has there been a fire over there?

Don't know about fire, just think it was a rather hazy day which cleared this arvo....

Once again we are away from the cooler seabreeze on the coast,22 degrees in town compared to 15.8 in ChCh and 17 in Timaru at 2.30pm.

21 degrees here with thick high cloud and a light southeasterly. Dew points also reasonably high for this area 13.8 at the moment.

Another convergence line developed today but this time to further to the west where some heat showers started forming.

There is a stable layer out there now which is why there some thicker higher leveled cumulus is out there as the congestus hit into it earlier in the afternoon.

But today held the right surface conditions for a storm just wished that the upper level conditions would be a bit more favorable. Some decent convection out west atm......
