must be boring weather if all we can discuss is the temperature!
I was thinking that too!
Maybe we should organise a weather meet to discuss it in your pool.. which must be very warm by now with all that solar heating coil on the roof! certainly wish i had one here today
Be there in 30 mins.. if I could
Driving back from Pukke just before with ZB on in the car, tipped a max of 23º and as of 12pm it was 24º.. not sure where they get their obs from but I can certainly vouch that it is a tad warmish outside.
28.3 here right now, but a southerly has sprung up & again there's distant murk towards Timaru. 54% humidity. Sunny; white wispy cloud moving in various directions overhead.

At 12pm Akld Aero was on 21C, while Whenuapai Aero, Whangaparoa and I think Ardmore Aero were on 22C, which is interesting because at 9am they were all on 19C. Still lagging with just 21.3C here.
First storm is just deveolping in the Palmerston area of North Otago now, with a strike picked up down there on the detector and where the radar shows it.
CU inland from here as expected, had some weaker forms of CU drifting over before.
But up to 26C now with a breezy NE and blue dome skies.
Got up to 26 degrees here around 11am dropped back to 23 now with a moderate southeasterly. Some good cloud build ups starting to develop inland from here.

Quite a brisk sou'wester still coming through which I think is knocking it back at those sites. I think inner city gauges will be around 25 or 26 at the moment. It is VERY warm in the sheltered shade at my house today. Been out painting...paint dries before I've finished each plank of wood!
Higher dewpoints a bit of a novelty in these parts, nice to feel some more moisture in the air and also holds the temperature up during the evenings.Reminds me slightly of Cairns in the depths of winter.
