Weatherlink Software

Unread post by clevedon »

Hi,
Have recently purchased a Davis Vantage Vue, and are in he process of hooking up data logger to upload history.
Can someone confirm during installation of Weatherlink am I correct if I want to use say Cumulus or Weather Display I need to select Vitual serial not USB as per instruction booklet (I am using USB logger) to inable me to upload to third party software?

Also what is the Weaterlink software like? Am I better off to use Cumulus, or am I better off to spend the money on Weather Display. Also can you upload to say Weatherlink & also another programme, or once you have uploaded to one does the logger get wiped?

Any comments would be great.

Mark.

yes stick to the normal virtual serial port mode
(USBexpress mode actually uses more CPU)
the data in the data logger is not deleted (unless you set that to happen)
if you use a program called virtualVP then you can run more than 1 program at a time
(but if you use W7 64bit its a bit harder to get VirtualVP to work)
