Up to 10mm here but it sure has been humid, feels more like being on the west coast.
Sun has been out for awhile now and to 22C, with 85% humidity.
I did notice some CU earlier on and now theres darker looking glaciated showers to the west from here so possibly a heavy shower soon.
So the interesting weather begins finally

Good to hear I am not the only one getting some good falls. That band that went through Auckland really seemed to strengthen considerably as it passed through, or was that just the radar picking it up better?

I'll call my final total at 77.6mm as I haven't registered any significant rain for almost 3 hours, so that fall is from 1pm yesterday to 6pm today. Falls in this region seem to be fairly well spread with everywhere on the coastal plain in Tasman Bay getting at least 50mm and higher areas up to 200mm (but mostly 120-150mm).

Todays rain is the highest 24hr total I have seen since Perth got 120mm in a night, not counting a storm chase were I witnessed the aftermath of 90mm in 2 hours as I wasn't actually there for most of it!

Heard that out east too. What a nice sound to wake up to  Seems it was an isolated rumble though :(

13mm here in December, 51mm in November, October 18mm.

Quite close rainfall over the last 3 months between us. 82mm for me. 78mm for you Oct - Dec 18th.

By the way already 25.2 degrees at 820am here. Its mostly cloudy with the sun sneaking through at the moment. In for a stinker into the 30's if we get long sunny spells!

very heavy rain here in Nelson with 11.4mm here in the last 20mins. A fair bit of heavy stuff earlier this morning means I have had 43.2mm since just before 1am. Plenty more to come too looking by the radar, after these heavy showers pass we'll get a nice long period of heavy rain.

No heavy rain warning from MS though, which is surprising given the rainfall intensities have been reaching 15mm/hr since 3am here.
