Certainly the best storm structure photo we have seen this summer. A nice shelf cloud which is the same thing as a gust front.

Good pictures,like it says "Thunder clouds form weather bomb in Hawke's Bay" :lol:
As for your radio its meant to listen to 531pi and radio rhema etc not spherics :crazy:

Great photo, certainly looks similar to the storm we had south of Hastings last tuesday

Hmm very nice shot there yeah! certainly has that rotational look to it! nice photo!

Very nice picture there, great gust front / wall cloud. Agree NZstorm, one of the better NZ ones I've seen this summer. You should know your cloud structures by now Jase!! haha :D

neat photo alright ,pity cant click on it for a better look.

Warmest night of the summer out there this morning 21C with a NNW wind that's been coming through in big gusts at times.

A wall cloud is very different to a shelf cloud. Shelf clouds appear when thunderstorms take on a linear structure (squall line) whereas the the wall cloud is the inflow base for a supercell thunderstorm. A classic shelf cloud in the photo.

Oh crud I just made a fool of myself. lol. I meant gust front / shelf cloud. Not wall cloud! Dir brain Aaron, that's what absence of weather talk does to you. haha.
