Yes had a strong southeast change here around 5pm also noticed a large Cu line to the far southeast. Still clear skies with a moderate southeast wind currently 17 degrees.

Unlike Chch, it was a rainy morning out on BP, but cleared to partly cloudy soon after noon.

What an extreme variation in Canterbury weather as today was,the NW came back with full force about 12.00,i had to head to Rangiora after that and hit the NE low cloud about Waipara where the air-con got turned off.
On the way back home at about a 7.30pm driving up the weka pass straight this photo is looking north towards NW grandcentral where the convergence zone was easy visible ahead.

Not far from home a look from THE OTHER SIDE

Some big rainfall totals, over 400mm for a few locations. A lot of the rain came down within two 24hr periods.
