Boffins probe alpine quake fault

The team will also install 13 seismometers, 14 temperature sensors and four fluid pressure gauges (piezometers) at various depths. At the surface there will be a weather station and recording and communications equipment.

When radio communications are set up, data will be available in real-time via the GeoNet website.
