I have always weatherwatch going on my browser too and as as you all know have more than 1 window up at a time.

Alan, it seems like the air pressure has started to drop a little quicker up their. The wind picking up at all?

Too bad I use midnight reset, won't break my daily rain record as a result ;) 60mm here now and pounding down.

Yes! Indeed! I am going to be on the forum watching these rain totals for as long as it keeps rising quick! Hoping no aftershocks come along in the process sitting in a dark room with my laptop! Whangarei is catching kerikeri, unbelievable!

Yes the baro has started to drop a bit quicker - and I was about to comment on the fact the wind has noticably picked up in the last half hour.

right im off to bed. will check in every time i wake up. hope everyone stays safe out there.

P.S its really coming down now. still only at 10mm/hr, which is nothing compared to 30mm/hr northland has been getting for the past few hours.

Me too! I have WW as one of the tabs that opens on startup. Things are getting a mite out of control right now with 19 tabs open, though...

58mm and counting! That's 11.9 in the last hour, not a patch on what they're getting in Northland.

On the bright side, the mother-in-law in Mangawhai Heads will have a nice full tank after last weekend and tonight. \:D/

Metservice report 34.4 in last hr at Whangarei.....

And still the main news reports aren't carrying a major story on Radio Live at least

Yes this ww,metservice,other models,gfs ecmwf,and couple of other overseas sites as well as d/l maps at various times etc.Guess January 2011 will be remembered.

I found 34.4 hour before last when looked. 36.4 last hour!!!! So 70.8mm in 2 hours!! Midnight radar, not let up!! Whangarei close to 200mm
