Down to -5.7 degrees here overnight. Currently -3.2

The NW wind we had here last night did die out and we had a lightish frost -2

Quite misty and frosty here this morning and down to minus 2.2C in the screen.

Much lighter frost here this morning just dipping to 0.2°C before sunrise.

Interesting that its colder towards the city more,mostly it would be the other way round :-k

Lots of ice patches around coming to work this morning. Had to slow down to 40km/hr in sheltered patches along Jones road, otherwise the back of the truck would of spun out into oncoming traffic. 8-o

Didn't think we were going to get any frosts while this westerly air stream was cranking it,its -2.1 out there.

Good frost this morning -6C,still havnt lost our water yet so far this winter which normally happens a few times every year.

one gauge of the lack of frosts here over the last 10 years is how much the frost tender tropical grasses are invading areas that used to get good and regular frosts 20 years ago....

Yes how things are changing,talking with a lady the other day who was born in this area,she was saying her parents had a small ice rink that they would have been able to use most winters,there wouldn't be many winters now days that it would freeze solid enough to skate on.

Yes there is an ice skating rink here and the last time it was cold enough to use was 2007. Talking to some people who have been in the area for a long time and they say it was used every year back in the 60s and 70s.

First decent frost for over a week this morning, Down to -5.0 degrees.

A -4C frost and then as it got light a fog has come in which is sitting about 5-6m off the ground

Got down to -2.5°C here at 3am then broken cloud stopped it dropping any further.

-4.5 degrees here this morning, Cloud increasing now will trap the cold air in.
