Solid ground frost on the coast this morning... man!
Not as hard as the other week but not far off it, going to be very icky on the roads around Grey.

Needless to say, our continuing showers leave temps. well above frost level.
Weather forecast reader on News"squawk"ZB cheerfully and dimwittedly told us yesterday afternoon that Wellington would have a low of -5C and Paraparaumu -4C! They'd read anything, most of them. So loveable those stations - "gabble and gasp" style of "newsreading", and endless ads at shout levels.

Had a frost here as well have to check how low it got but we had ice on the car windows for the first time last time was a long time ago...

Coldest here for the season, I think: currently -4.1 degrees. Very white and crisp-looking outside.

Frost on grass & car here also at 7.30am. Temp. was 0.6 degrees & rising by then though.
