It sure jolted here but rolled strongly for a majority of the time, again you can tell that was the greendale because of the rolling at the end which the port hills fault doesnt do.
Problem is now this is more pressure on the port hills fault, as the energy was slipping SE over time and why the 6.3 happened but has been back peddling the last month or so back to rolleston areas.
Same depth as the 5.3 last month but slightly futher over on the other side of the town, so the greendale obviously slips SE through rolleston.

Said it was felt in Westport on the news, nothing about Greymouth <3

Yeah geonet reported Greymouth and Runanga on their site. I see 18 aftershocks today now.

Didnt go to any memorial today but had a couple minutes silence at work. Never really felt settled today, kept thinking back to what I was doing this time a year ago.

10 years on since this event. ChCh now a different city. Very sad for all those that lost their lives in this event.
