62mm of rain here since midnight in Westport and still coming down pretty good. Flooding around the roads is coming up onto peoples front lawns and approaching houses. A house in Waimangaroa reported to have water inside the house.

Scored 24.6mm of rain here, all of it between sunrise and lunchtime, with a peak rainfall rate of 9mm/hour between 10am and 11am. Thats our best 24 hour fall since the 18th January and there looks to be about as much again due tonight and tomorrow morning too.

Thats me being lazy and not changing my set signature thing. I am back in CHCH on Sunday so no point changing it. More heavy rain on the rain here in Westport from 3am looking at the models with Metservice going for up to 120mm about the ranges.

Yeah just a piddly 2.5mm since 6pm last night, although tomorrow could bring slightly more rain and again on sunday.
Mid next weeks front has got some ommphh in it, will have to watch and see as we get closer to the time.

After a full day of rain, the sun is beginning to shine through at the end of the day although low cloud is starting to roll in.
