Rain got heavier overnight at times but just off and on stuff, lighter drizzle today mainly although its now back to a thick light rain/drizzle.
Up to 25mm so far in the gauge so a decent drink for the gardens.

Lucky! Way more than here. Signs that rain is getting closer to setting in here. Juts on off light drizzle rain at times today but 2pm radar shows some good development.

Only 5mm of rain down here. Good to hear that places in North Canterbury that need rain got some good totals. Certainly a lot colder than recent days struggling to get much above 8 degrees.

Luckily that band has moved east of the NI above BOP because she has sprung into life in the last hour or so. Shows quite nicely on 8pm radar. Might get another 2mm tops from this system before its out leaving no more than 15mm and a monthly total of 41mm to date

There was another spill of rain around 4:30 until just after 5pm with moderate falls and some brief bigger drops, then a wee bowt of rain around an hour ago steady on the roof.
Up to 27mm now might be nearly over by the looks with a clearing tomorrow, although some showers do return on saturday.
Blue skies have a brief wintry flick mid next week first time ive seen snow to low levels on there in awhile, but could well change.

53mm here from this event. And a pleasant 14C this morn. :-)

MetService show Kerikeri Aero recording over 130mm from Wed arvo to Thu arvo.

Seems odd that MetService's Westport site recorded 137mm over the last 2 calendar days (mtd 478mm), while its Westport Aero site only recorded 72mm (mtd 210mm). :?:

Greymouth Aero recorded 145mm over the last 2 calendar days (mtd 372mm). And a nearby PWS, less than 2km away, also recorded also 162mm (mtd 501mm).

Hokitika Aero recorded 110mm over the last 3 calendar days (mtd 377mm).
