iPhone weather app - Made in NZ

Unread post by undertheweather »

Hi all,

I have almost completed an iPhone weather application for viewing your's and others weather stations from around the world.

If you would like to submit your own weather station please visit - www.undertheweather.co.nz - to register your station and for more info and screenshots of the upcoming release in June.

Thanks,

Ben

oh great idea!

just wondering how does it get the data. Is it just a direct feed off our sites?

Yes it just processes another file everytime your own site updates - at present I am testing with Cumulus and using cumuluswebtags which processes to our database then is pulled from there within the app.

Let me know what software you are using to process your data and I will come up with a script to use that.

Thanks, Ben

Jamie, since this one is not geared towards WD that you are using
there are others you can use
try a search on the WD forum for Iphone applications if you are interested

Thanks Brian, Under the Weather will work with any weather station software - if your software uploads data regularly to the internet via FTP then it will work. Simple as adding another file to process.

Thanks, Ben
