Heavy snow warning to low levels in the south 15-16th may

Will be interesting to see how much snow actually accumulates. Good start for the ski fields around queenstown

10-15cm above 400m. with more down to 300m

The models have it more WSW now so southland will cop a lot of it plus getting into Otago and be critical in some areas but doesnt look severe furthur north in the east.

Don't forget the high wind warnings in central NZ! Wish I was down home in Dunedin for the first snow of the season.

7mm of rain here overnight with a dusting of snow on the higher mountains. Looks the cold change coming will only effect Otago and Southland.

Dunedin webcam shows a dusting of snow on the higher hills looks to be above 400m though.
