Re: General June Weather
Having a good rain tonight, 5.4mm last hr. I had to walk home in that; thankfully it wasn't too windy to use the umbrella!
Re: General June Weather
Had a good downpour just now included some hail temp dropped to 8.6C.
Lost sky just like yesterday.

Re: General June Weather
Looks like a decent area of rain moving onto the west coast in North Auckland/southern Northland region at the moment, not much lightning on the tracker though.

Re: General June Weather
Well last nights polar trough didn't amount to much. I think the problem was dry air off the South Island in the mix.
Nice to see a fine morning.

Re: General June Weather
Didnt really do what I thought it was going to either, that front.. sure it was cold enough to freeze the whatsits off a brass monkey & im sure at higher elevations there would be a dusting of the white stuff, I thought it would have a bit more punch than that. The Cbs' out in the Tasman late yesterday were quite crisp but were a little too far north for my liking.
Freakin cold barber here this morn..

Re: General June Weather
We've got thunder and lightning here. Scared the crap out of me when it hit the power lines just 10m from our house... the whole house was shaking and we lost power for 3 minutes.
This picture is from the lightning tracker and shows basically where our house is (thats were the red dot is and that scared the hell out of our dogs)

Nice looking Cu clouds this afternoon. Some near up to congestus status.
Haven't seen clouds like this since before the earthquake, the Sept 4th one.
