Hearing constant rumbling of thunder now! Neighbour has gotten his dogs inside now. (he never does this)
Beautiful clouds with the sunlight and the sun reflecting on the harbour water.

dont you think M/S should have a severe thunderstorm watch out for the auckland area?

You wouldn't rule out an isolated gust of 70kts with these storms.

should be a good one to watch. if it slows down and comes in when its a bit darker ill try and get some lightning photos.

still getting around 20 strikes per minute from my boltek

It just passed south of us. Got some nice lightning on tape! Constant rumbling of thunder.
Too bad for the timing would have been nice if it was dark!

66 knots here :)
the main cell passed just to the south of me by 2 km :)
was real black base to it
would not suprise me if there was a tornado with it....I reckon I could just make out a funnel cloud at the back edge
and the rain radar suggets a bit or rotation/hook...
great lighting show, could see bolts...was mainly in the cloud and in the rain though

Only seen 2 strikes, nothing for a while now. Seen nothing from the storm to the NW so far?

strike rate is dropping steadily on my boltec
was good here as it came through. had all the lights off in the house and was getting a good flash about every minute or 2 :)
