Unread post by spwill »

A dry evening for the All Blacks v Fiji game this Friday in Dunedin with a chilly northeast breeze to make the fijians feel at home.

Wont ever need to look at conditions when games are on in Dunners once the stadium is finished.

Although body heat + high humidity + low outside temps = raining condensation. YUK!

Considered going up for it, but at $51 for the cheapest seats in the stadium, no thanks.

Either way, Fiji will be out of their comfort zone for sure.

Can hardly complain, have you even see the prices for AB's games at the WC?

Yes but $51 for the cheapest seat against Fiji is just ridiculous. And they wonder why only 10,000 tickets have been sold.

Edit: Heck I could tickets to the next three Southland games instead of that one AB's ticket at the lowest price.

It is a charity game for Christchurch. Play the game Saturday afternoon, start the tickets at $15 with a donation made at the ground.

A guess at Wellington weather for Saturday July 30th, AllBlacks v South Africa, dry with gusty Northerlies.

Quite good conditions in Dunedin today for a Rugby game, currently some cloud, light east wind and 8.5C, will chill off after 4pm.

Showers look likely for the AllBlack v Springbok game on Sat night in Wellington with a southerly flow around a departing low.

weak SW wind flow though, which will most likely die off in land at night
but still some odd light showers floating past possible from the anticylonic gloom type cloud?

The models did quite a good job in picking last nights Eden Park weather atleast a week out, as they did for the Carisbrook game, not so good a forecast for the Westpac Stadium game

I wandered down to watch the game last night, 55,000 people there but plenty of spare seats.

There is 10,000 temporary seats on scaffolding. A Mt Everest climb to get up there but the view is worth the climb, took this photo part way up.
I wouldn't want to be up there in a thunderstorm , very exposed .

I heard on the radio that the temporary seating is on hire from a French company and go to London for the Olympics next.
