Perhaps some thunder for western areas Sunday morning.
Some seabreeze convergence cloud here otherwise another lovely spring day for Auckland, a max of 18C at Greylynn.

Re: General September Weather
The current light wind pattern is allowing seabreeze convergence again today, a cloud line is currently over the top of my house.
15C here, light winds, max was 17C.

Re: General September Weather
A calm day in this neck of the woods today, thought the NW would have come through by now, cant it be far away as the mountains are now looking Chrystal clear instead of the slight hazy thats been hanging around for most of the day, started the day on 0.3C and reached 20.5deg.
I see Culverden stayed under the fog till at least 2.00 looking at the temps there,it happens a few times a year where the fog can hang round all day over the town.

Re: General September Weather
Noticed, as I travelled home from Ashburton yesterday, how very hazy the foothills appeared: nearly obscured.
Fog near Westerfield reported to me this morning.
Currently: temp. 10.7 degrees & dropping; 65% humidity. Faintly misty at 1km.

Re: General September Weather
Yes looked at the coming system on ECMWF as typical little/gutless northerly component and back to yet another high battling it over the tasman again well out to the end of the end of the runs.At least the weathers good now the time being.

The pattern is certainly dead at the moment but maybe something interesting will reach us here in the north on Sunday, still 4 days out for model changes.

Re: General September Weather
Next week is looking quite disturbed , Sunday to Tuesday should provide some weather interest.
A mostly sunny day for central Auckland today, max 17C.

Re: General September Weather
Another nice day up to 19C not long ago with a breezy westerly now down to 18C with an onshore NE, a few weak CU clouds popped up this afternoon inland to the Peninnsula usual areas.
Just after 10pm last night there was a brief dollop of quite steady rain for about 5 minutes, measured 2mm in the gauge just before.
Very messy looking weekend and week ahead with fronts and troughs all over the show, Might be some good thunder risks too Thursday although a wee way out is something to keep an eye on.

Re: General September Weather
16 degrees currently with overcast skies today and a Northerly breeze that has picked up in the last hour. No sun today as yet but if we see it should get to around 20. Have the irrigation going because everything is so dry. Richard, your right in an earlier comment about the whole snow - rain ratio this winter. It really is remarkable in the fact that we have almost had more snow than rain! Very dry winter indeed.

Re: General September Weather
After a day of thick high cloud the sun has now come out and the mod NE wind has gone light, currently 16.4deg.
I'm liking the look of the forecast for the next few days because if it doesn't rain in the next week or so i'm guna have to kick the irrigation system in to gear.
