GFS is not showing much in the way of precip for Auckland over the next 7days. Sundays front could give a few mm.

Looks like another lot of thunderstorms passing to the north of the country today.

Warmest night here for 4 months with it only dropping to 6.3 degrees due to low cloud cover.

Not surprised, been so little in the way of warm days lately ,today here would have one of our first days that actually felt like spring with 19deg,finally warm enough to expose the white legs to a bit of sunshine.

Yesterday's easterly was quite cold despite the sunshine. Just managing the double figure digits.
Watch out for those white legs, there, Richard. Don't want to shock the natives  8-o 0_o o_O :D

Looks like the dry weather in Auckland should continue until Sunday when we get a sharp cold change and a few mm.
Clear this morning with 9C.

Already 18.5 degrees with no wind to speak of. Beautiful! Not sure why M/S going for rain with 'heavy falls possible' this afternoon. I wouldn't have thought we would see prolonged steady rain from this, showers yes.

You're quoting Jeff's temperature reading when the official temp is 14.1.

Have to wonder where you are when ChCh is having a cool day.

On these light wind days Metservice station always catches up later in the day. Seems to warm quicker in the east early on with light winds, common trend but don't know why. Obviously the Metservice station warms up quicker on NW days because the NW will tend to reach there before here.
