Nice photos snowstormwatcher _b nothing much around here though there's one to the west that looks to be moving to the NE.
Got home to 30deg had been as high as 33deg.

That's the 7th day since last Sunday that there has been thunder somewhere in NZ.

Some light rain earlier , all quiet although radar shows some rain to the west

Hopefully it could be 8 days Steven,there was nothing in N Canterbury yesterday but the forecast is saying that it could be a possibly "in the north" today though,thick fog here this morning so maybe there's enough moisture about.

Neat photos Aaron _b been near Oxford yesterday and rather close to those build ups i have to say they were some of the most spectacular looking storm clouds ive seen for some time.

I will keep an eye on Fri/Sat for thunder over the upper NorthIsland, 19C dewpoints in place with daytime heating, obviously still model variability for this time.

Some great looking build ups happening around the Hanmer Springs/Waiau area,i can see myself having to go for a drive to.

seen those clouds from culverden as well Richard, was a few real good ones a couple hours ago the one with the ring around the top would of made for a great photo

Thought about going for a drive but decided not to because the storm is a bit too far over the back from Hanmer and two,too bloody hot so me&kids went down the river instead. :D

Shot taken at 5.00pm from our front door,its been pretty much over the one area all afternoon.
